Good morning,

we collected a lot of valuable feedback (more demos, fewer slides!) and now scheduled our second Everyday AI Club! This time it’s for Product/UX designers and for the first time with a sponsor, Helsing, and we’re grateful for that because this also means high-quality snacks.

This is a funny story from a translator, worth a read. “Oh. My. Fucking. God.” It’s logical: the less you know about the topic, the more impressive the AI output is. (Have you ever tried to ask ChatGPT about yourself?) This reminded me of a recent chat with a journalist working as a freelancer. They told me that they are sometimes given AI-generated drafts by the customer and that those are really hard to edit. It’s better to just start from scratch.

  1. Signals from Monday: Burgermeister expanding to Vienna [careers]; Bending Spoons filed for a multi-billion-euro IPO (owns Komoot, Eventbrite, WeTransfer) [careers]; Schwarz-Gruppe posted €185B in revenue while quietly building a European ecosystem across retail, cloud and data centres [careers]; Siemens Energy forecasting strong growth through 2035 on AI data centre gas turbine demand [careers]; Rheinmetall and Hensoldt planning thousands of new hires as defence job postings jumped 65% since 2021 [careers], [careers]
